Ministry for Heritage and Cultural Activities (MiBAC) is the Managing authority of the National Operational Program on Culture and Development (NOP Culture and Development).
NOP is located in the frame of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2014-2020, one of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) covered by the Partnership Agreement (PA), signed by EC and Italy that sets down the strategy for the optimal use of European Structural and Investment Funds throughout the country. The agreement has paved the way for investing in Cohesion Policy funding over 2014-2020 (current prices, including European Territorial Cooperation funding and the allocation for the Youth Employment Initiative). Among the aims of the PA, there is the one to upgrade the Italian cultural heritage, in order to enhance its local endogenous development potential.
